The Incredible Growth of Marketing Made Simple TV


If you do something long enough, it takes a life all on its own.

Marketing Made Simple TV began inauspiciously on May 10, 2012. Like a snowball rolling down a hill, it has slowly grown and grown.

How much has it grown?Growth

This story tells the tale.

I met Ann Handley, Chief Content Officer of MarketingProfs at a MarketingProfs happy hour in NYC recently. I talked to Ann about appearing on the show.

But when I invited her, she said she was deep in writing a new book, so she could not be on the show now.

Less than 24 hours later, I get an email with a recommendation of a marketing expert and a request to book her on the show. I connected with this former Eloqua executive on LinkedIn, and she was soon booked in Ann’s spot.

What’s interesting is that I did no solicitations at all. Potential guests found me.

That tells me that Marketing Made Simple TV is really getting BIG, when guests find us and we have to do no outreach.

By the way, the best-selling author Stephen Dubner of Freakanomics is also a future guest on the show! Very excited!
